I agree with Diane Arbus's view that when: "You see someone on the street, essentially what you notice about them is the flaw."
Diane Arbus had a penchant for the obvious. She often said, "I do feel I have some slight corner on something about the quality of things. I mean it's very subtle and a little embarrassing to me, but I really believe there are things which nobody would see unless I photographed them."
She was right. Why pass up capturing an image because it is going to be grainy?
I like to take photographs from a car window. There's something about being the spectator, the grabber of the moment, before people have a chance to change their expressions, that holds a certain truth.
